yes it is. and if its gonna cost a few grand to get this truck fixed. i will likely just sell it. I cant justify so much money to fix a 30 year old 2wd truck.- bagpiperjosh

good mechanic in Pittsburgh, PA?
So i was told by a local shop that i have a leaky head gasket, becasue i asked them to tell me where i was leaking coolant from. Are there any mechanics in the PGH area that are trusted to work on these motors and don't cost an arm and a leg. This truck is my daily driver, so i need to have it...- bagpiperjosh

COOLANT LEAKING FROM TRANSMISSION?!?!
I don't believe the engine was ever rebuilt. it only has 110,000 miles on it, and the carfax didn't show anything of the sort. and it only had 2 owners before me- bagpiperjosh

COOLANT LEAKING FROM TRANSMISSION?!?!
So over the past few months i have been slowly losing coolant and i couldnt figure out where. with it being so cold and crappy over the winter, i never crawled under to take a look until recently. I seem to be slowly dripping coolant out of that cover that has a small vent slit on the bottom...- bagpiperjosh

KING BOLT INSTALLATION
Has anyone done a kingbolt set install by themselves? How hard are they to do? i hear they really suck because of the old bolts being so tough to get out. im gonna buy a set from lmc today. a shop quoted me $300 to install them. so im debating on weather or not i want to mess with it- bagpiperjosh

squealing
UPDATE: it ended up being the u joints. all fixed now. the shop also discovered i need king bolts replaced. so that should be fun to get done. I wont be attempting that myself- bagpiperjosh

squealing
so i have a metal sounding squealing sound when i drive my truck. its the loudest in low gears when i go from a stop. i jacked the rear tires up so see if i could see where its coming from under acceleration. but it didnt make the sound. it seems to only do it under load, because when im up to...- bagpiperjosh

REALLY hard to shift
that's pretty much exactly what i was thinking. I put the bladder back in and so far its still shifting good. how do i bleed that system? down by the slave cylinder?- bagpiperjosh

i took that bladder out, added fluid and drove it to work this morning. it seemed to be shifting better, not perfect, but way better than yesterday. so i dunno whats going on- bagpiperjosh
