I always use studs and red locktite. No worries about having to hear it up if you ever need to pull them!

Isn't red the super duper one that the bottle says can "only be removed by heating"? I meant that with studs and red loktite, you shouldn't need to pull the studs anyway so it ain't going anywhere. If you can easily remove something with red loctite, you didn't have it clean enough in the first place.
Do you mean blue?

And oh I think you mean on the stud going into the hub. Not the not. Right?

With such a heavy truck and with it being a dedicated tow vehicle we decided the eldorado calipers were not sufficient, and I didn’t think the parking brake would hold the truck. I think it would be a good setup for a daily driver that only moves small trailers/mowers around. Just not enough for this setup. So what was the reasoning to not do rear disc?

yep. the eldo parking brakes will not hold back alot of weight. and the drums will work much better for stopping all that weight over the little chevy caliper
That had to be about a 9.8 pucker factor.I don't even like the Disc brakes on my F350. Going up to Alaska in 08, was going down a hill in Oroville, had to stop for a Red light at the bottom, the trailer brakes didn't work, broken wire, couldn't lock up the wheels even with Hydroboost, thank God there was a delay, Red both ways as I flew thru the Red light.
This was the 30ft Jayco I was pulling.
