Actually oreilly BWD injectors are in fact brand new, not remanufactured. But they are still junk...

Yes I cracked each pipe and one was obviously bad. The rest seemed goo. Thank you for the advice about the parts store injectors. That helps me a lot. I'll order from Mel or Russ.

E-G. Codes were for emissions trucks?no?
Op
New matched pop pressure is the key.

No.I don't know where or why that rumor started.IDI trucks didn't come with any emissions. Not even out in California (where they probably should have) My '93 M code engines (non turbo) came with E codes from the factory.

Just for reference, as far as engine performance goes, you can use just about any injector or IP on any IDI engine. Turbo IP on N/A 6.9, or vice-versa.
The key, however, is that injectors need to be matched(pop pressures must be the same, and you want the same "code" or "type" of injector nozzle).
IPs must have the fuel screw adjusted to the smoke point and no more - a turbo IP on a N/A motor will smoke when you floor it, for instance. You must turn down the fuel to *just* get rid of the smoke, for best performance.
On the other hand, you can run a 6.9 IP on a 7.3 turbo motor and get pretty good performance out of it - you just crank the fuel to maximum, because the turbo can handle it, at least once it spools.

Yep, no emissions on our idis other than some changes in prechamber design and some blocked off coolant ports, nothing like the psds

OK I've looked but I can't find a link to Mel or Russ.

"If you want the best factory option, get some BB codes from Mel or Russ, either of these guys can help you out if you want to go with more performance oriented than factory as well."

Rock Auto also says that there are 2 injectors for 1992...Pre 3/92 and post 3/92. Any thoughts on the difference?
