Need Quad Cab 4x4
personally, if I was in that situation.........
it would have been hammer and screwdriver time about 6 am today
I can hold out on doing all that. Last thing I need to do is replace even more stuff.

Ahhh.....now me thinks...me might have this boned out in me skull...
If the CORRECT SOCKET does not fit into HUB...then HUB is too small...
If hub too small FRONT DIFF ICOULD BE a D44 model not A D50 as he is thinking....
This would be the only thing I can see...or...there are different parts or it is being done incorre tly
seems to be alot of people as of late that come on here asking for advice, not knowing a damn thing,
getting sound advice, and then retorting with "NO THATS WRONG"
what do you do when you lead a horse to water through the desert, and he dont drink?
there is no foul in inexperience, as long as you dont claim to know it all
Like trying to tell him the tyre is round and he says it is square
I'm just trying to understand what you are saying. The sockets posted are correct. Something is effed up with yours which is why we need pictures. Is the shoulder not fitting inside of the hub ? If so clean everything and figure out what it is catching on. It is very hard to help without pictures considering the sockets posted should work.
