Wishing you better luck than I've ever had, crazytwo.... (Hold the violins, pls) But thumbs up for late-IDI-van-love!! ;Sweet;Sweet;Sweet

The trans I replaced this year had NOT been updated at all, with a local rebuilder sticker on it. Two E4ODs in 330K? The POs are not my fave people!

Had wild dreams of a C6 or even a ZF-5 swap. Nah, didn't happen. When the trans died at a stoplight, quality rebuild time for the E4OD ($3.2K).

Meanwhile, keep me away from your van! My curse is for real!

idi_econoline-

I think it's a racket man, I've seen more E4OD's using a diesel case, with CAR internals than
I could have imagined-

(That's the "Out of Sight Warranty" When it's out of our sight, der ain't NOOOO warranty...)

No wonder these trannys have a bad rep, they'll hold a LOT of Torque/HP when built right.
I built mine to a Stage 3+ for not too much more than a regular diesel rebuild...

I've heard BTS is highly respected for their work!

Best regards,
George

I will be the first to tell you that I'm not right in the head.:sly:sly I have a condition called yellow fever. Here are a few examples.

1992 E350 SRW, 7.3 IDI, this one runs great. The one that needs the transmission is identical.

Oh, a schoolie fan! ;) That works!

You'll never know the horrors of the late-model factory cargo door latch cables and cams. Got no idea how lucky you are, man! :Q

"I just like school buses."

Cool. Do you keep them OEM or do camper conversions, etc.? Just curious...

The 1992 is my run around truck. Last row of seats is out. I might take out one more row. The 1998 is still new. Haven't decided what I will do with it yet. The Death Star will be converted into a camper. It's just time and money.

yeah you can't beat that.all the upgrades of the '95+ and cheap! if it doesn't work,oh well it was worth a shot lol.will cost ya more to fill it up with lube.:D
you'll need a 4 stud/idi converter and the '89-94 solenoid pack.the range sensor (MLPS) you'll just use your old one.if the old pack in your trans is ok.just use that.the converter should be replaced in a failed trans.
i tossed one of these in log truck (with her oem trans, that im still squeaking some more mileage out of.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/E4OD-7-3L-6...ash=item3a87110ca8:g:MFEAAOSwk5FUy-m3&vxp=mtr

You can get the updated TRS as a kit. Install the new range sensor and swap the plug.:D

4R100 will have two sensors on the top. Front just after the pump TSS and rear (extension housing) OSS. This unit is a E4OD. You can find the date above the manual lever.
