How to remove and replace steering column?

Doubting freakin Thomas now eh....thanks for vote of confidence

The one I pulled out of the 86 bronco defiantly has 2 connectors.
Thought all bull nose were same.
Only truck of those years I've taken apart
Anyways, columns are VERY easy

Incorrect only 1 connector.

isnt there 2 connectors?

a half round for turnsignal switches and then the one on the box.

they are the same as a brick nose.

hardest part is finding the 16" long extension and a 10 mm socket.

just checked there are 2 connectors. the larger one the rod slips into for the lock cylinder and the roundish connector for the upper column controls.

yep. but the 83-85 diesel guys says only 1 connector.
i dont see how it would change tho.
would like to know for further knowledge.
im not doubting Al, just curious and all...
every brick nose column ive dione had 2

There you are. Is there a cover plate on the floor, also? I have not done this for 5 years, am a little foggy.

The one for the ign...the semi round one is hazard turn horn cruize

Two bolts up under dash 5 bolts to fire wall 1 bolt on steering shaft 1 electrical connection...bobs yer uncle n done

pics may not lie, but they dont tell the whole truth either!

so is there a 2nd connector or not?

There are 2 connectors

one semi round one

One large rectangular one the rod goes down too anout 3/4" × 2 1/2"

Thats all there is....
