Lol that's funny. Never know what's laying on the side of the road. A instructor at the Daimler training center up here likes to show a piece of connecting rod he found on the side of the road one day.

Denny's driveshaft has a good listing of the different ford joints including the ******* ones that have the oversized caps for the rear if I recall correctly.

Now Brian, why doesn't this surprise me? LOL.
Keep us posted on your hot rod build! I need to make a trip one of these days and check out your new projects!

Years ago when I wasn't long out of high school, I built a 1971 F100 shortbox flareside that was fairly fast (built 390 and super T10) and a lot of fun, but I became somewhat proficient at breaking the rear u-joint every now again. I was on my way home one day from work and getting on it as usual and the rear joint came apart. I knew what the horrible vibration was, but then I saw the driveshaft going end over end down the road behind me in my rearview mirror. Thank goodness nobody was behind me at the time or they would have been impaled. I got the truck off the road, called my Dad, and then suffered the ultimate indignity when he towed my truck home behind his old Ford Maverick. LOL

Nice man!
Somewhat. It runs and I drove it today on the road for the first time in 6 months but it has a bad oil pan leak so now I got to fix that  but I love it! Sounds mean with the ww2 and the moose junior pump. Can't wait to get dual exhaust on it
