Question, when pressing in the door handle it should pop the door out/open...correct?
I replaced both striker bushings and with doing so I now have to 'pull' the door open...think the strikers should be moved out a little?
They close great, nice and snug, no rattles!
Stare at it very closely when you open and shut the door. It's hard to see sometimes, but what usually happens is the door hinge bushings wear a little bit. When you slam the door it is actually raising the door up a little bit to engage the pin. Since the pin is supporting a lot of weight, it can bind a little bit on the pin if this is the problem and not want to open easily like it should.
Most people do it "right" and put new bushings in the door pins. What I usually do is loosen the bolts on the bottom of the door and put thin shims between the hinge bracket and the door to push the bottom of the door up. This works and is a lot faster than replacing the bushings.
