K need to know a measurement and just as I ask...PLEASE

Stock truck!!!

REGULAR CAB

Rear drive shaft

F250 4x ZF 5sp

FROM WELD TO WELD on shaft please...don't care about the u joints...just need weld to weld in center of welds please!!! in inches

Mine is a reg cab 4x4 zf5 f250 53 inches center to center of jew joints. F350 is 54

That's funny cause didn't see it was a double post...

Thanks and that 47 1/2 " weld to weld is same as mine on my F350...could be changed...don't know.

Do have some info on shocks today though.

Front shocks of F250 and a F 350 SRW 4x are same

Rear F250 just under inch shorter than F350 SRW...but the F250 are the same length as the F350 DRW shocks...and same part # too..rofl

Looking like gotta stick trans into the new truck...

Just went out at 5am to measure just for you lol.

My 1990 F250 meets every part of your criteria and mine is 45,000 miles and everything factory original so thats about as good of a truck to measure on that you could ask for.

With that being said, 47 1/2 from weld to weld.

Now I can move forward with some plans. Like transmission swap and a few other things. Thanks again for that!

This means my rear shaft will work, that leaves the front one....UGH...I THINK I have a double cardan from the white elephant that is longer than the one in my F350 right now which would work with the smaller diff...maybe

If you could accommodate one more measurement I would be grateful. I need the front shaft HOWEVER from U joint center to U joint center tcase to front diff when the trunions are on the horizontal plan of the cross + not the vertical.

I was laying down so it was easier if you texted me.

Plus if I needed to clarify anything with you, get a different measurement, or change how I was measuring for you; it could be done. Versus having to come back on here and check for a response, etc.

But I came here to update so everyone else can see too, but for me it was a lot easier to make sure you got the information you needed if you texted me.

Im getting 36 inches with the truck on its own weight and stock tires. MAYBE 35 15/16, but for the purpose of this and to be able to tell if a truck has what you need, 36 inches is totally fine. This was from center of u joint cap to center of u joint cap. By this I mean the u joints that are located in the actual ears of the front driveshaft which I pointed to in the pictures.

Thanks a lot for that, I sure appreciate the information. I can now go into this and have HOPEFULLY a working DS, I'll measure the white rhino see whats the scoop. And if it's too short, I've got one from white elephant that's slightly longer.

The F 350 shaft has a double cardan on the one end so this could be interesting...Hmmm...

I'll post my results.
