Bed lean?

Anyone elses bed lean to the left? I did a google search and it seems like alot of ford trucks have that bed lean? ??

Mine does, I always placed blame on the left side holding up the fuel tank (I figure the front one is generally used more often then the rear) and the the driver being on that side. Other than that I never put much thought into why.

Non of my Ford trucks had any lean to 'em, but I have seen quite a few with that lean.


My only explanation would be tired springs, do to fuel tank weight over the years.

My truck don't lean but I do. Fixed that with a $200 pair of shoes, left shoe built up a 1/2", no lean now.

None of my Ford's have, but my 79 chevy did after I got it buried in a friends slew and we hooked the 4020 to the left frame rail. About ten 15 foot run's at it popped right out, then the box leaned and the transfer case linkage was hitting the body...

It's the torque of the idi twisting the frame.

I've also seen a lot of super duty era trucks driving at an angle. Usually the back end is kicked over to the passenger side by what looks like 3-6 inches at highway speeds.
