Wmo mix ratios for winter

I would like to hear from all of you cold climate folks... what ratio of wmo do you run in the winter months? and do you have to do anything special to get your truck to start consistently with the thicker viscosity?

W85 worked great in Colorado winters last year. If you can start on diesel and then flip to WMO once warm life will be better.

I'm assuming thats 85%wmo and 15% diesel?

That's going to be 85% WMO and 15% Gas. The gas is what helps bring the viscosity down to a level that's about the same as diesel. It also has anti-gelling properties that'll keep the oil from thickening up.

I have used a 75/25 mix of oil and kerosene and plug the truck in every night. Sometimes i thin the mixed fuel further with diesel...

What kind of fuel pressure are you getting with that in your IDI? I imagine it's much more forgiving when you aren't running 65 psi (PSD).

I don't have a gauge anymore, but it used to be right around 7 psi...

Those of you using RUG, is it without ethanol or with??
Thinking the E10 blend might help get rid of some moisture left in the wmo.

A rough listing of ethanol free pumps.

Most are E10 these days but you can still find ethanol free.

I think it goes state by state on regular (87 oct) gas that does not have ethanol.
In Iowa I'm pretty sure regular has no ethanol.
Across the border in MN the regular gas has a 5% blend, then E10 so on.
South Dakota, regular is regular.
Anyway its not posted on the pump, which I think is law if it has ethanol.

airports, boat docks and Alaska are the the only places besides some onesy twosy places here and there that still sell pure gasoline. they dont want the ethinol to mess up your engine if you are really depending on it.........

Not that would know as I only use K1. My IDI smokes and smells awful with RUG
