well I have had a return line cap leaking (rear most passengers side) for a little while now - been so cold and me been busy that I just haven't had the time to deal with it or didn't want to deal with it. But one day I replaced the o-rings on it and it was bitterly cold and cracked the cap while reinstalling it - dang it....
So the other day I went down to my local Ford dealer and picked up a new cap came home and installed it along with two new o-rings that happen to fall out of the plant drawer at work into my pocket (without my knowledge)...
And I'm happy again... not more having to crank the snot out of her to prime the fuel system. But did notice while replacing the cap that the lines are brittle so I guess I will grab some fuel line from napa or the like and replace that section.
Yes you boys read that right I only replaced the two o-rings and only replaced the ONE cap... Been doing it that way for years on the Enterprise - heck years ago I stopped replacing the caps because they are a more than one time use item ya know... It's the o-rings that fail in most cases not the cap but this time the cap was so old and it was colder than a witches ______ out that the poor ole cap didn't have a snowballs chance....
Thought about getting a kit but thought why the others aren't leaking - why fix it until it's broke...
