Thanks for posting pics. I also ordered two thermostat gaskets, and got the same two as you, with the 2-passage gasket broken in half. The 1-passage has an inner diameter of 2-1/4 inches, and the other has a diameter of 1-7/8". Some one please tell us which is correct?

Is your thermostat the correct one? I don't know about mine.

I ordered from the UHaul site category of 1994 E-350, because I HAVE a 1994 E-350.:dunno

Most of my parts have arrived in torn, crushed boxes with little or no packaging material, which makes me very suspect of the electrical/electronic components.

I ordered a case of oil filters, but received only one. Still have a bunch of parts yet to arrive.

I'm pretty disgusted with what I have received. Tempted to ship it all back and be done with this mess. Clearly, some of the UHaul shipping people in Abilene, TX have no clue about their job, or simply don't care.

I won't be ordering from UHaulParts.com again.:puke:

I would contact uhaul first to dispute the condition of the items you ordered before calling it quits and shipping it all back. At least give them a chance to right the situation before declaring them a poor business that you won't deal with again.
From my understanding, each shop IS responsible for the level of quality in their products. Some members here received outstanding parts and a few...not that spectacular (myself included). But simply giving Frank Settles a call or sending an email has put in motion the process to get a resolution.

You can try calling their return service at:
1-866-277-6855.

Or give their customer service center a call at:
1-800-269-6737.

Last but not least, contact Frank directly at:
[email protected]

I think you can even PM him now that he is a member of this forum. Good luck and I hope they can do something for ya. Remember, if you don't tell them there is a problem, they aren't gonna know. ;Sweet

Dave makes a very good point! I'll be the first to admit that I'm less than happy with the condition of what I ordered...now that I have everything, I'll try and call them tomorrow and see how they'll handle it. I was still upset when I made my earlier post and have had a chance to calm down a bit...and, on that note, I'd like to see how things are handled before I decide whether or not to give them my business in the future...

Believe me, I know the feeling! On one hand I received an excellent IP but on the other a less than admirable set of injectors. I was a bit pissed at first, but shot an email to Frank about it. Now I am looking to hear back early this next week to see if they can get me a better set from a different warehouse.

Seeing this thread and all the parts people are nabbing is really getting my mind thinking..
my truck has 193k on what I think is the original IP.. i'm averaging 15mpg max right now with a small fuel drip on the bottom of the IP and im looking to do anything to get a couple more MPG's and some extra power if i can... would spending 220 on one of these IP's really be worth it? i mean how much of an improvement could it possibly provide? I wish I jumped on the 20% off deal back in january =/

I installed my buddys glow plugs(bosch) and glow controller from uhual, works perfectly;Sweet;Sweet the truck fired on the first turn of the engine today better than it has ever fired, and i found why his old controller messed up, the idiots that put his controller on hooked the ground wire up to the glow plug circut it was only grounded until you turned the switch on WTFcookoo guess thats also why they didnt know that advancing the timing fixed his missing and blowing smoke problem, they said it had an internal suction:rotflmao

THANKS UHUAL for the great parts;Sweet

Well considering that new IP's are around 500-700 for a quality rebuild, then you shouldnt have to think twice about buying one at that pricecookoo

If i wasnt looking for an engagement ring i would buy one of the pumps

Shipping parts ain’t rocket science, it ain’t even airplane science. It is simple common sense.

If my experience was the exception to the rule, I’d be inclined to call and ask for better parts and better service. AND, I’d have a reasonable expectation of receiving it.

But I am not the exception. This thread alone has several members that have received parts of dubious quality, and packaged so poorly that damage during shipping was quite possible. My friend received unwrapped, individual glow plugs, injectors without any protective caps, GP controllers, and other parts thrown into a beat up Harbor Freight box, with NO packing material. I’m sure the injector tips are damaged, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a GP tip broke off inside his engine. No way would I use any of those parts. My packages so far, have been similar.

I doubt calling Uhaul would result in anything more than shipping my parts back, and getting similar quality parts, in similarly poor packaging, shipped back to me. A lot of aggravation for no real benefit. I'm not going to waste a lot of time on this. If Uhaul can't do proper shipping, then I'll buy from someone else.

The price was nice, but without confidence that the parts are undamaged, they aren’t worth much to me.

When the next batch of parts arrives, then I will make the decision on shipping it back.

I can understand that you are frustrated, but will you really go as far as denying them a chance to redeem themselves?

Again, each of these shops ship parts individually. Unless you at least let the SALES MANAGER know that a problem is present with your item, how is anyone supposed to know? You would think that if the first batch was **** poor and was reported so, they would take extra measures to ensure that your next order was satisfied in the best way possible. If they are a reputable business anyway.
Not trying to sound like I'm going to the gun for Uhaul, but the sales manager himself was interested enough to join this forum (as well as FTE) to see how his customers were fairing. He even mentioned to me that he noticed a few of the shipments were reportedly hit and miss, but was trying to help out anyone that contacted him.

Not only that, but you are also neglecting the fact that many other members received outstanding parts quality and shipment (myself included). Sure there are a few bad apples, but does that ruin the entire crop? Or, company in this case?

Not to me it doesn't.

I got my injectors in and it is running pretty good (no road test yet), and I seem to be getting a little air in the system which is no fault of the injectors.

I am now even more looking at getting an injection pump for the truck!

On a side note...I pulled the old injectors which were painted IH gray like the engine. They were dated 03/87. My truck is a 1985. Newer engine, or injector work done. I wish I knew the history of my truck!

i would most certainly give them a call and see if they can make it right. I am tickled pink (yellow perhaps) that i recieved new Delphi BB injectors, OEM glow plugs (has the international logo on the package), a NEW controller for half the price of aftermarket. Since a gentleman from UHAUL registered here to see how things were fairing don't you think you should atleast give them a chance to make it right? You just might get the same primo stuff i got?
