prob saw the air cleaner and thought "oh, carbureted."
I just sent an email asking for pics of the engine. Maybe I will email again asking for a pic with the air cleaner off. Wouldn't it be funny if he was to take the air cleaner off for the pic and he thought he was robbed of his carburetor :rotflmao

All right I could not resist so I emailed the following:

I'd like to know who made the carburetor for that vehicle whether it was Carter or Rochester. No need to identify it but if you could get a pic of the carburetor with the air cleaner off of the truck I will know which one it has.

Thanks Again, John

Uh, guys, they made carbureted diesels. Look it up. Google is your friend. Geez. Glad you all know everything. Not this one of course, but on farm equipment.

Maybe he was told "normally aspirated" and thought that meant not fuel injected.

I'm pretty sure I saw the same ad months ago.

That truck truly is EXTREMELY rare, in fact, it very well may be the ONLY diesel engine ever built with a carburetor...

Gheesh, when you put it that way, $3500 is a steal... Considering it's like one in a couple hundred million. :sly

What really concerns me is, he didn't say anything about the last time he changed the spark plugs. I'm not sure how up to date he is on the maintenance...

The add for my 99 said something like "99 F-350, 7.3L Supercharged Diesel"........... I truly think this is why I got such a good deal for mine, he didn't have a clue what he had! He just knew the fuel was costing him a lot more money than his little BMW 325.........

I wonder if he only runs 5 quarts of oil because he's never bothered to check and figures it must be like any other motor.....twit
