It's most likely an old ZF-5, not worth much in my book after we had a few grenade themselves in front of big goose-necks.

I probably gonna sell the trans and maybe the rear axle, And I'm either gonna put that cab on my frame or put my motor and 4 speed in that truck and use the 85 front clip, I like the looks of those better than the brick nose.

He apparently removed the ad, I'll try to get some pics when I get it home later today.

It's an 88 f350 with a blown 7.3 and a zf5 that I scored pretty cheap.

I found a dana 70 under the back end. Musta been swapped in.

Oh and the engine is more than likely ok, The previous owner poured straight vegetable oil in one of the tanks and it quit running sometime later, Then pulled the injector pump and left it to set. I cranked it and it sounded fine, This spring when it warms up I;m gonna see if I can get it to run.

FWIW, I've heard more complaints about NV4500s (usually 5th gear nut backing loose) than the ZF transmissions.
