newbie questions

Please bare with me... my buddy and I are ressurecting his dad's old farm truck and trying to make it kind of a cool driver. It is a 1993 turbo diesel... is that considered the idi or what forums will I want to look for information in? Is it just in a league of it's own? We want to make it smoke a little more what can we do? We just put a stack on it the other day and are contemplating putting a flatbed on because she has some good rust on her. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. You have an awesome site here.

you've found the wrong place to be asking that.
we can help with most everything else but that.
1)these trucks don't put out much smoke in the first place unless if there is something seriously wrong.
2)with all the smog nazis looking to drop the curtains on older diesels, we are not very inclined to help those who are looking to hasten our demise.

yep it's an IDI.

As TC said the IDI's just don't roll much smoke.
