This is the bearing manafacutre that I'm looking into. They are expensive but may be well worth it. Around 2 years ago I paid $48.00 for the mains and $43.00 for the rods from Diesel Direct in Florida. Chris is who I worked with and the number then was 1-800-861-6907. They also had turbo rods with the big pin for $42.50 each no core. and Mahle big pin pistons 1441800wr std for $550.00. I also bought some inconel exhaust valves for $38.00 each but never did know if they really were inconel material. They weighed the same as the stock valves I had from several used and new heads. They even had an Elgin part number E-2001 on them so who knows what they were. They are not selling on Ebay any longer... Don't know why...:dunno

Thanks for the info. I'll do some research on King Bearings and see what I come up with.

Tractorman... No... The bearings from Diesel Direct were the Mahle bearings. They also are the oem bearings just like the pistons in these motors. The King bearing is what I'm looking into. Just cause they post something about what they are selling does not really stand for anything in my mind. Information means everything to me....

hey icanfixall, on your next 7.3 engine rebuild, why dont you get your cylinders "nikasil"ed. that stuff alone should add some power and reliblality to the old 7.3. hell it might even make it rev faster. i know this is a motorcycle type of webpage www.bearboring.com but you can talk to them about who would do it on a car engine. i know nascar has there engines done with nikasil, but if i had an engine to do this to i would do it in a heartbeat.
