It did it to me again today! Its well over 70 today, 5 gal Diesel to 8 gal Oil plus what was left in the tank and its too thick to pump. Usually mix 10 oil to 5 Diesel, either I got some really heavy oil or my lift pump is on its way out.

Another thing to think about is what the weight of the oil that you are running?
I use nothing but 5W30 and I have had no problem.
I have ran 50/50 but mostly 75 diesel and 25 WMO.
I personally filter it through a 1 miicron filter bag and then through 5 micron spin on filter on a pump just for good measure.
Sounds backwards, But I probly dont have to filter it a second time but I do.

sorry I havent been on everyone is wanting there sandblasting done all at the same time. I have been running mineral oil its real thick with no problem after i figured out that i got a batch of synthetic it sucks it plugs up everything. I am now running at least 90 percent wmo and mineral oil together my next project is to get my air compressor running on it cause I have been through 600. in diesel this week in it.

welcome, havent personnally had a problem with synthetic but i havent run more than a gallon or two in my tank at a time. i mostly got regular oil to run mixed in.

i think we are all treading in some new territory with this stuff in as far as the limits of what we can safely run in a stock rig.

So now it gets wierd....Last night after work i switched the tank over again and it ran fine! It was in the 50's. The only thing I can think of is that it didnt have time to mix and was too heavy earlier. It ran just fine today.

I got some fittings today and am going to install a pressure gauge so I can see whats goin on.
Also have the holley pump sitting on the shelf, just need time to put it on.

I'm going to try mixing ATF and 15W-40 and see how my olf Ford likes that....I'm thinking 50/50 for the WMO/ATF but only 30/70 for the WMO and diesel....Still too cold in the Mornings for a heavier mixture....I've been offered a new Webasto heater on trade for a truck box I have for sale, might be nice to have in the winter for cold starts.

thats a good idea, i know the oil is prefiltered but it might not be a bad idea to have a pressure gage even before and after the filter. it would really show whats going on and if the filter needs surviced without guessing.

ironman--DONT mix the diesel and the wmo in the tank!!!!!!!!!!! mix outside, and youll be ok.....straight wmo, will pull thru the stock pump down to about 45 degrees--then it gets tooo thick to drive down the road----at speed

I just put a gauge in the filter head, reads 5psi at idle, about 4 at 2500 or so. I'm definatly gonna go electric when I get the time to put it on.
Whats wrong with letting it mix in the tank?
