I think the run-off ramp would be creeping jennies 4' deep with their nice little white flowers to catch the mower and its rider :D

The recliners are for the spectators!!! haha
A good running 42" craftsman with sharp blades wouldn't slow down! A John Deere will cut faster and somehow do a better job.

I hope mice are a Large part of their diet!!! I am so over MICE!!!

Actually, no. I haven't seen a mouse for several years. I lived in a small town of 12 blocks that was surrounded by farm fields for almost 10 years. I only had three mice in that time. Two were at the same time. I have a theory that mice can smell the cats and stay away. It's probably the litter box.

I complain, but I think I secretly love it. I'm what's called a Florida c r a c k e r, which means I'm a poor white native born NW Floridian. My culture is being over run by Yankees, but this is all I know......where else would my weird c r a c k e r self be accepted? It would be neat to see a mountain up close one day, but I don't know if I want to drive on one. Apparently they're big.
I am with you, I grew up in a $1500 house, and I identify as poor white trash. Except we were never on welfare, my dad (with 3 kids, no mom) made $7 too much to qualify for food stamps.

And even though I am now low middle class, I still will forever be grateful for all the things I have learned doing things on our own. And I continue to do because I cannot fathom the prices being charged for things I CAN do.

I identify as "upper lower class". I just can't ever seem to reach the bottom rung of the next ladder called "middle class" I actually quit trying about 10 years ago. It's pretty amazing how much happier we are.

Proverbs says, " better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith" proverbs 15:17

You might read that, " it's better to be broke and happy then loaded and unhappy."

I earned that trick several years ago. It's really amazing.

We are brothers from another mother!! We were just telling our kids last night how much they have and how thankful they should be for their blessed life.

I am trying to get to the garden stage that would provide most of my veggies and some fruits. Our meat source comes from friends' ranches back in South Dakota.

I earned that trick several years ago. It's really amazing.
I had a feeling you lived life with that outlook, after enjoying your other thread, can't think of its title at the moment.

If I were in charge, I would like to think that a law could be enacted where people had to sit on the "porch" for an hour a day. Alone or with others, in silence, or conversation, and maybe some acoustic instruments, but not one piece of technology could be a part of that hour, not even AM radio.

and maybe some acoustic instruments,
This is where our "politics" would collide and we'd start different political parties to serve our purposes. When I'm in practice, I play a mean blues style electric lead guitar. Just like my trucks, I have custom pickups and wiring that I did all my self. 50watt marshall, I like it loud!.......and if you vote for me......

The nice part is anyone is capable of doing anything you just need to jump right in and figure it out. The tough part is whether you have the right tools or not. When I had no money for the right tools things were a lot harder. When me and my wife bought our house it was a joke/not a joke that the garage should be equal to as big as the house. And that’s what we did. I don’t want anything bigger than food and a nice little roof over my head. Any extra money goes into the garage, tools and experimenting with IDIs because that’s what I enjoy.

Another thing you have to accept, that the first time you do something it will have imperfections, mistakes and never be as good as the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time. That’s what learning is and you can’t let the fear of knowing that hold you back.

One of my goals in life is to have the highest IDI dyno numbers on YouTube.

Lurker for a few weeks. I recently picked up a 1993 ex DOE E350 7.3l IDI. This has been a great thread for lots of reasons. I'm a born Floridian. My dad was a machinist at Pratt & Whitney in WPB. I'm from Lake Worth. I'm now in Los Alamos NM as an electrical engineer. I'm the youngest of a long line of mechanics, electricians, and machinists. I"m bristling at what I need to do next on my 93 E350. Thanks for all of the info and keep it coming. I've taken care of several issues with my 93 E350, but I have lots more to do. I'm currently an engineer at Los Alamos, NM. I look forward to more info. I consider myself a good engineer in that I try to learn from those with experience, something I learned from my Dad. Keep up the good work. I need the info.

So off we went around 6 am. HWY 50 East out of Montrose is closed due to widening the road in Little Blue Creek Canyon. So I-70 bound coupled with 40 additional miles for this slow walrus......

We made it to the aquarium in Denver to give the kids a break, and kill time before the wife’s departure on her European Vacation of Peace and Rejuvenation .

DIA, wife gone, kids and I SD bound. 1 hour past their bedtime we finally stop at choke and puke (the Golden Arches) so I can get them some comfort food and get them to bed. Filled their bellies as well as Wally’s. I got coffee as I am going to push hard through the night at 68 mph .

Leaving Ogallala NE they passed out quickly on the comfy bed. Miles passed and alertness remained.....until Dixon, SD. I pushed to a scenic pull off overlooking the Missouri River. Shut the van down at 3 am. By 6 am the cold had turned me and Wally into an ice cube!!! So I grabbed this......

(Sorry for the bad IPhone 6 photos) and started the van. Jumped on the highway and took another bad phone pick...

It’s out of a ZF-5 rig, not sure if it will work but I will try ...... someday.

Following Day, mom, I, and the kids went out to the Prehistoric Indian Village

And had a great time. Kids got to dig for a plastic arrowhead in which they could trade for a stone one....

It was not warm out. Man oh man, even though we are much higher in elevation in SW CO, it is such a warmer climate than SD!!
