Doesn't look too bad at twenty feet away

Drove it down the road and got it up to speed. Needs an alignment and feels like a warped rotor. Kinda tiny for a big guy like me but not too bad. I like it. Seems to shift good. Added a half quart of ATF.

Still need to get the new tires on and need to put some gas in it. Tossed the gas can in the truck because the Jeep won't make it to the gas station it's so low.

I'll probably run it a little on Saturday and see how it goes.

A half hour and two cans of Rust-Oleum aerosol bedliner and the front kinda almost matches the back!

I checked the alignment with a tape measure and it's as close as I could get it so I left it. I did manage to shorten the drag link so the steering wheel is almost straight. Close enough!

Yeah I know, cleaning the shop is next on the list.

They were given to me, 2x6 tube maybe 0.120 wall or better. He told me they were 4' long but they're longer which is perfect! They are almost exactly as long as I need. I've got some 3/16 plate to make mounts from. I just have to start cutting and fitting.

Front will be first, just need to get figured out how I want to implement recovery points. I've got a few ideas but need to nail it down.

Had some nasty death wobble the other day. Asked a guy at work if he still had the stabilizer from his old Cherokee that he never installed, he brought it in and $20 later I find out its a nice Skyjacker unit instead of a cheap house brand like I expected. Score! I'll be replacing the track bar and a bad tie rod as soon as the new radiator gets here.

It's not technically saved yet. Still needs some rust patched but thanks! I needed some encouragement so I don't drive bit through a building on purpose

I can relate either over the summer or winter I will be purchasing yet another project truck that I believe is a 90's idi have not fully inspected yet due to a washed out road n my idi is getting much needed repairs. Frustrating not driving my baby

Well I was going to replace my Track bar the other day but..... The castle nut and cotter pin are unidentifiable.

So after talking with a couple other guys I finally decided to pull the bracket off the parts Jeep and see if I could get it apart. That one really wasn't any better but I finally managed to get it after a drill, a hammer, and a chisel.

Cleaned it up a little bit, Not enough to show I care, but enough that the paint might have a chance to stick. Quick shot of primer and a couple coats of Rustoleum gloss black. Looks better than the rest of the Jeep lol!

I replaced a tie-rod that I knew was going to be a problem if it wasn't yet and then yanked the old steering stabilizer off. I can't imagine it was doing much of... anything.

I got this new one for $20 from a guy at work. Couldn't believe it! I expected it to be a no name parts house special. This one should help a little bit!

The new radiator showed up today. The one my buddy gave me is leaking a little bit near the top on the passenger side. It's starting to get chilly out and I'll need to pick up fresh coolant for it anyway so that's all for today.

Well today I got the painted bracket installed along with the new track bar.

Also put in the new radiator and thermostat. Drilled a small weep hole in the thermostat to help with bleeding the air out.

The leak in the other radiator wasn't really that bad, just a pinhole leak but I don't like babysitting things if I don't have to. It's done now and done right.

Also cleaned the IAC and the throttle body. Seems to run a little cooler now too but I haven't really driven it yet, just let it idle and warm up.

Picked up a spare set of wheels since they'll fit the wife's Jeep too. She has 17s and these are 16s. Only paid $50 for this set of 5. They cost more at the scrapyard!

Painted the spare set today. Hopefully I can get the new tires mounted up next week or so.

I'll run some nice wheels if he wants to pay for them I'm not going to knock $10/ea for wheels no matter what color they are!

It all depends on the vehicle for me. My Chevy looked better with the aluminum wheels. My F350 looks good with either. I'm running stainless wheel simulators but I think I'm going to paint those wheels black too so I can switch it up.
