we need fact's not blah blah blah whatever whatever.

The right oil filters for Ford diesel engines
Designed for Ford Power Stroke® Diesel applications
7.3L diesel engine oil filters are up to 98% efficient at 18 microns or larger and feature anti-drain back valves to help prevent dry starts
6.0L and 6.4L diesel engine oil filters are up to 95% efficient at 20 microns or larger and feature top-loaded, dripless cartridge elements
Recommended by Ford Motor Company

nothing special here, more facts below

Some Contaminants Cause More Damage The level of damage particles cause to
an engine is directly related to the size of the particles. The oil stream
within the engine flows between wear-sensitive surfaces that usually have
clearances of between 2 and 22 microns. It is contaminants in this size
range that pose the greatest threat as they can slip between moving
components, causing a great deal of wear.

To appreciate how small these particles are, one must first understand the
measurements involved in their classification.

A micron, or micrometer (µ), is a very small unit of linear measurement.
One micron is equal to one millionth of a meter, and 25 microns is equal to
0.001 inch. To better put this in perspective, consider that the diameter
of a human hair is 50 – 70 microns.

Large particles are particles measuring 1/2 or larger. They pose little
threat to engines because they are easily removed by the air filter.

How is that K&N air filter working for you guys, NOW?

More info below

Medium particles are particles measuring 25µ to 1/2 . While they are of
greater concern than large particles because they are more difficult to
remove, the threat they pose is diminished since they are still larger than
many of the clearances within an engine. Their size will not allow them to
enter the contact areas between many components to promote accelerated
wear.

Small particles are particles measuring between 5 and 25 Microns and Larger
Bearing Bearing 25µ. Small particles are of greatest concern because they
can penetrate the clearances between wear-sensitive components and promote
accelerated wear. And, because they are so small, they are difficult to
remove from the oil stream.

SAE Testing In the 1988 Correlating Lube Oil Filtration Efficiencies With
Engine Wear technical paper published by the Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE), the relationship between oil filtration levels and
abrasive engine wear was established. Testing determined that wear was
reduced by as much as 70 percent by switching from a 40µ filter to a 15µ
filter.

The SAE conducted tests on a heavy-duty diesel engine and an automotive
gasoline engine, and both provided consistent results.

If I remember correctly Castrol took the synthetic out of the base stock and replaced it with hydrocracked petrolium based oil Mobil1 tried to make wind and it all went silent, since then some companies use PAO base oils and Castrol and others use refined dino oil and sell it as synthetic.
I wonder how long and how many oil analysis you have to bring to the table?

OK, thank you thank you very much for showing everyone here how arrogant you are with the knowledge you have. Why not share that knowledge in a respectful manner? Why not be a real man? Men that act like you have some kind of complex. What you know would definitely be appreciated here, but the way you choose to bring it out makes no one want to listen, except to say "you're a *****", "you're an ass", etc. Because when you choose to respond like this, YOU ARE.

Like I said before, Man Up! Show some respect where it's due instead of just flying more crap at everyone. If you think it's more "crybaby whining cookoo" then get outta here and go someplace else.

even tho the tone is bad some good info. so does my K&N air filter suck?
hold your K&N filter to the sun light and see how many holes in the 200/300 micron rating you will see, to answer your question YES your K&N filter SUCKS DIRT into your engine.
Another Fact that great marketing will drown out.

You really don't read what I write man. I saluted your knowledge and said it would be worthwhile here and I wasn't kidding. It would be. For your information, I quoted your whole statement, but the site didn't post everything you did, just what you wrote. I honestly did quote your whole statement though. Wasn't trying to leave anything out.

And yes, you are arrogant. Still haven't apologized either. Not expecting it from you though.
