I logged 865 miles and burned 67.55 gallons of fuel...

12.8MPG average...

Wasn't what I was expecting... When I got out of the warm and moist air and into the cooler dry air, the truck ran a lot better!

Then that's what it is.. Bradley Roberts and I adjusted the FIPL, but it didn't do a thing.. I have to pull the shifter down to get first, have no second and then shift it up to third. If I try to take off in drive, it takes off in third.. Oh, and there's no O/D-off light... ever..

There is an elecrical problem , either a power problem, a unplugged connection on the pass side of the trans, or a bad selenoid pack,
common problem is the seloniod pack,

Where would I find this solenoid pack?

Sorry it took me so long to respond.. Been sick in bed, since Tuesday...

And you dont think it may be something as simple as the TPS. I've had them do some crazy stuff before. Start out in second and converter kicks in and out

That was adjusted on Monday evening, to within specs, but didn't change anything. It still won't shift.

I know it's been changed, since it is a gray one instead of a black one.

What are the codes for the tranny? Have you disconnected and cleaned all of the connectors to the tranny, FIPL, Tack sensor, Speed sensor, TECA, Barometric Sensor, and don't forget to check the brake system for shorts, grounds, bad connections, and defective swithes.

Can I read the codes on the tranny without a code reader?

Only found two connectors going to the tranny.. Removed, cleaned and reinstalled both of them..

FIPL was adjusted to within specs and contacts cleaned.

Barometric sensor contacts were checked..

TECA relay is working..

Still need to check the speed sensor (Rear pumpkin?)

I'll check the brake system tomorrow.. It had a brake controller installed on it at one time, but has since been disconnected. I won't hook it back up, till I get these other issues fixed..

Ok... Found out how to read the codes without a reader and got the following:

56- TOT reads -40 degrees Fahrenheit, or circuit open.

23- TPS out of self-test range

91- Shift solenoid 1 circuit failure.

92- Shift solenoid 2 circuit failure.

93- Coast clutch solenoid circuit failure.

94- Converter clutch solenoid circuit failure.

99- Electronic pressure control circuit failure.

With all these codes, it sure sounds like there's a broken wire(s) somewhere...
