it was mentioned off and on in some of the posts in this thread, but if there is any question about the lubricity of the fuel, i would recommend adding a couple gallons of either biodiesel or cold weather permiting, toss a couple gallons of straight new veggie oil in there. I ran bio for months...
dave welcome to the clan, yeah the pick up tube is an ailment we all share lol. My lines only sucked about 10 gallons from each tank and didnt get around to fixing it before my truck sold. Camaro.....sounds like you got some fun on your hands, best of luck to you!

it got my truck sold less than a week after posting. Guy was 150 miles up the coast of California from me and found it on CL. I couldnt buy that kinda ad space.

that shudder in reverse sounds familiar..... towcat what was the name of that bearing assembly on my driveshaft towards the rear of the vehicle that we looked at and discussed replacing.... that was the source of my shudder.
hmmm this is PURE guess, but could it be the cold idle advance oscillating off and on in a loop for some reason? dont quote me on this, but i would think it ok to disconnect it next time you hear the tick while its running to see if noise goes away.

less than a week from posted for sale to deal closed...ive bought and sold a couple vehicles at this point, but this one felt different. I will actually miss this truck. But!!!! now soon as things settle down, the hunt begins for a 94 F350 4x4 IDI Turbo.

he may be quite right. only problem with that is those timing lights with all the specific attachments are few and far between, people who really know how to use them even sparser. That being said, prepare for a hefty bill. id put the money towards a new pump and injectors

yeah dont remind me. still not used to 4'oclock being so light. I am WAY happier though. I was getting screwed and i knew it, wasnt going to see street. Ive got plenty of time to find my place somewhere.
