Poll: Water separator
I run a Racor 445 with a 30 micron filter as a primary filter into a electric pump then thru the stock 6.9 filter. No problems so far.- tenlug

Aftermarket fuel filter locations

Ok, here we go. We used good quality parts and the problem continued. Even tried removing the pressure valve at the M/C at the rear wheel port to get more rear brake. Didn't help, so we went to the GM stuff. It was a lot of work and expense. This was done about 10 years ago to a 1988 and 2...- tenlug

which to keep, ball joint 60 or kingpin?
With king pin style you can swap to GM knuckles, calipers, and rotors. The GM rotors are thicker and do not warp like the Ford rotors, the pads last better and the truck stops better. Also swap to the GM rear end with 13x3.5 drums at the same time. Have done this swap 3 times, these trucks stop...- tenlug

Lincoln Mark 8 Electric Fan
If ya search Summit or Jegs there are variable speed fan controls. I think they start the fan at 60% then ramp up from there. This would reduce the start up spike, but won't reduce the running amps. I set up my 2 speed taurus fans with relays so the fans have to be running on low before they...- tenlug

Speedometer - How it works and how to fix?
Since the odo is close I would pull the speedo and take it apart. Lube the brass pin inside the bell and clean out the bell. You've got nothing to lose. Speedo's from 80 thur 86 will work. They are't that hard to find around here with a trip meter in em. Get the whole cluster with the diesel...- tenlug

Group 31 in a 92-96
I put group 31's with posts in the 1985 (92 front clip). Lowered the trays 1.5 inch. Works good. Steve- tenlug
