so im helping a friend swap a zf5 into a 87 truck and noticed there are two different hydraulic master cylinders. from 87-91 then 92-97 but the mounts look the same.

do i really need one or the other? i only ask because rockauto is out of stock on pre-bleed systems for the 87-91 trucks but have plenty for the 92+ style.

thanks in advance

For what it's worth, I have a 92+ master on my brick. Sits at a slight angle but functions properly.

I have the 92-97 master and slave in my 93 with a t19, so would think it dose not mater and just go with what is ment for a body run.

i think the issue is with the master fitment to the cab not the trans side

Makes sense, I think the floor pan is diferrent as well. The brick bucket seats I have had to have a bunch of holes dirled since the holes where in no were near the same place except one.
