ZF-S5-47 rebuild kit in a S5-42?

just wondering if there is any difference in the rebuild kits from s547 to the s542? i know the 47 has upgraded synchro rings and more torque capacity but are they interchangeable without a trans swap? also the 47 is cheaper

Yes,They do require a differant overhaul kit.
