ZF S-42 issues

10-4 rubber duck. .....I'll either love it, hate or find no change....The holes in the blocks were a lot tighter in the new ones so there must be some change to notice.

The ZF5 is full syncro, maybe even reverse too(I know the 6 speed is) but, 2nd gear seems to be the most common failure. Any one I've driven that had bad syncros, it was 2nd that was done in.

DAMN! Well I guess mine are gone then. I've even tried double clutching it, no dice. The only time it is an issue is when I want to compression brake down a hill slowly. I have to almost stop first. Of course for most cases, 3rd gear is low enough.

I can downshift to 2nd but I usually find 3rd is enough too....Forget about going down to 1st....buzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

noticed that it was warmer out today and i didnt have as much trouble...

No noticable difference, not worth the $9 in my case I guess....
