Sorry no tech, but I am pretty excited though and figured I'd share haha. My boss at work had a tan on brown :)sly ****!) 85 F250 T-19 4x4 that he used to plow our parking lot for many years on end... It doesn't have a ton of miles, but it was a plow truck so you know how that goes. Well the motor started knocking so he sold the thing to a co-worker and all he wanted was the plow--So I ended up scoring the truck for free today LOL

Hopefully I can post some pick soon. I'm headed to Pennsylvania for a week, but hope to get going on it shortly after. The guy said it knocks and has a ton of blow by coming out of the air filter :dunno If the motor is blown I have another or it will make a great parts truck for the 91 :D

Might end upjust a bad injector opening too soon or stuck open....:sly

Wouldn't that be great :D He said it ran fine before he parked it so right now I have my hopes up for it being something as simple as that. We'll see how it turns out

Sweet! Fired up my new IDI today and it lit up pretty quick considering its been sitting for a long time. What I thought was a bad injector now has me thinking its more serious :(

Instead of a thunk thunk thunk (bad injector) it has a loud POP POP POP like its backfiring into the intake :dunno

I had that scenario, turned out to be a stuck oil pressure bypass. Caused some bent push rods and cracked up rockers.

Dont run it anymore till you pull the valve covers, you may have a stuck valve or broken spring.

That's kinda what I'm thinking as well. The guy that owned it in the first place changed his story and said he actually finished out the year of plowing snow with it running like that--just waiting for it to blow  Great... Some peoples kids

Cool deal Rot!

If the repair gets too extensive I've got a spare 7.3 lying around that I wouldn't mind finding a good home for. ;Sweet

Hard to argue with free.

NK!!!!

I got one almost free, installed a new tranny.... it's ready to go get the free one with the popping sound.... just lemme know when you're ready!! LOL

I'm going to start looking for another one I love this thing so much. Simple to work on and somewhat purdy too.

I washed mine for the first time since I've owned it.... go figger.... it's got good black paint, except the roof... the silver is total cr@p though. The upside to the silver is, it's peeling with garden hose pressure.... time to take it to the shop and pressure blast with 4k psi to the primer..... less sanding!
