Wiring fast idle soleniod to a switch...

So I want to wire my fast idle solenoid to a switch. That way I can manually control it when the truck is sitting, warming up in the mornings - and I can raise the idle if I'm sitting to help the a/c. So what's the best way? Should I use a relay? Or just run 12v through a switch?
