Wierd, lights flashing

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but once in a while, after I start up and pull out, I notice the clearance lights flashing. I don't know if it's got anything to do with the truck or if it's the Viper remote start thing I had installed. Bad thing is that I had it installed as soon as I bought the truck, so I can't say if it did it before or not.
Some times it just quits, and other times I pull over, turn it off & re-start and it goes away. It's no big deal, just a little annoying when it does it. I don't know if all the lights are flashing or not, but I can see the clearance lights on the fenders.
Anyway, has this happened to anyone else or is this my special gremlin?
By the way, this is on the 94 F350.

Your headlight switch is fried. Check out the FAQ section for the headlight relay and running light relay mod. Chances are you will find a crispy brown wire on the back of the headlight switch...Been there, done that.

How's the remote start work in the winter? How do you see the fast idle?

The starter work great in the little bit of winter we get here in SC. As for the fast idle, it doesn't kick in 'till you hit the pedal. But so far, so good, it starts, warms up & all, and it sure is nice getting into a warm truck on a cold morning, or into a cool one when its hot out!

Would the head lights still work like they are supposed to if the switch is bad?

Yea,The marker lights and headlights are all on a separate wires.When mine went south the marker lights stopped but the headlights worked.Then my headlights stopped and I would have to push the switch in a little and play with it to get it to work enough to make it home.Replace that switch and pig tail ASAP.Could catch fire or worst go completely out on a dark road with no moon light like mine did....NOT FUN!One of those things that looked good in a Lab but totally stucked in real world application.

CRAPPY FORD wiring.

You will find that tiny tan wire all melted and crispy.

I looked outside, one night, to see my truck lit up like a Christmas tree.

I am not a light-leaver-oner kind of person, so I knew something was not right.

The light switch was OFF.

I removed almost every fuse in the box and still the parking/cab lights remained lit.

Unplugged the switch and still lights lit.

I cut out and replaced every wire from switch to fuse-block, and several other wires, before I fixed the situation.

The real puzzler was that the parking/cab lights and the interior/dome light were both ON and could not be turned off.

My truck could have just as easily burned while I slept.

I never did really know exactly where the problem was.

Are they on and off type flashing, of flickering? Also does the voltmeter move with the lights? If its not a headlight switch problem, it could just be the afterglow of the G/P's your seeing.
