white solids in radiator

Well water is even worse than that tap water to use. Steam distilled from the grocery store, not the plain drinking water, ionized is hard to find, unless the store has a self serve one.

My radiator looked like that. Took it to the radiator shop and they looked it over and said if they dipped it, it would start leaking. I had some white deposits around the fins on the outside near the bottom. That's when I got the aluminum radiator from ebay. And I do use the distilled water from the grocery store now. I have well water and it's terribly hard. Even city water can have a lot of minerals in it.

Ya these rads are getting old. We probly would have told you the same thing.
