Junkyard or dealer. The choice is yours.

The junction widget is sometimes included with new cables. Least it was included with the new intermeadiate cable I bought recently from Rockauto. A good autoparts store like NAPA might be able to get one too. Otherwise a junkyard truck, the dealer or someone here parting out a truck.

If all else fails, would a cable clamp work?
Or would that pull the cable too tight?

On my old truck, said clip broke, I bought a foot of cable (same size) and 6 cable clips. Worked fine.

Try looking at LMC truck or National Parts Depot, they can get pricey on some things but they do carry all the little stuff needed for restoring the old ford trucks
