What year 6.5 had the optical sensor for the fuel. What years to avoid?

i am considering a 6.5 truck, Want to still run WMO in it so I have to have one without the optical sensor for the fuel.

Also any year specifically to avoid?

The first year of production didn't have the electronic I believe. but I don't remember the year. A quick google would tell you. Also none of the military 6.5's have the censor.

94 is when they went electronic.

only way around the sensor is by changing out to a '93 and below DB2 system.
