Motor oil and plenty of it too
In summer I run 50/50 used motor oil and diesel
In winter the truck is not used much but I only just use the front tank
I only change fuel filter when the light comes on, last change was about 5 or 6 years ago
I only use truck for scrap hauling or car hailing on my 20 foot H&H tilt
I think it runs a little quieter on the oil mix than the pure diesel
The injector pump should like it also and should make it last longer
Punch it on the oil and little more black smoke than normal, But no blue smoke.
Power seems the same
I change the Rotella 15 40 out of it and it goes right into the rear tank
All my oils changes are done at home so it gets all the 10 30 from my 300 and the 5 20 from wifeys jeep
I don't use synthetic in anything, so I don't know about using it.
I pump it into the truck with my 12v pony pump and it has a screen on the end of the pickup hose
Fill rear to half on the gauge then top with diesel
I burnt some hydraulic I got from a farmer friend it worked ok but left what looked like a rubber ball in my fuel filter, (don't use that again)
PS I hit it with the cosby all the time unless its a nice warm day.
