Is this the factory water seperator for a 6.9? Or is it a filter? Theres no drain on thats why I'm questioning it.

Not a factory water separator, they look like a can (at least on 84 up). I would guess with no drain that this is some sort of filter, maybe a racor or something like that.

That isn't factory on Fords. Looks like it is a sediment bowl like they used on old cars and tractors. The fuel goes in there and the grungies and water sink to the bottom.

That was on the firewall of the 87 beside the master cylinder. It looked like the bolts went into factory holes. The glass part pulls off after the clip is relesed, it has a filter in it.

It ain't factory Ford.
I do see them on Gillig bus chassis tho. IIRC the filters a racor sourcing only.

My dad's 84 has one like that, when I first saw it, I thought it was John Deere issue, but have also heard GM used similar.

They're most common on Deere stuff, you can get elements that are filter/seperator combo or one of the two to fit the base.
You can just pull one of the unused port plugs at the bottom and thread in a valve for a drain.
