Westbound and Down

Road trip, Holler at Ya'll in about a week when I finish this 3000 mile trip to Texas and back.

Did some PM & safety checks today so I can leave about 3 AM, my 20' John Deere green trailer's hooked up and both the coupler and receiver are locked with masterlocks. (and yes I greased the hubs, checked the lugs, lights and tire pressure)

Gave the faded paint a bath to knock some mud off, didn't improve much but at least the chrome wheels are bling'n

Will do, So far so good, I like it. We'll see how it does with the trailer, trailer is pretty light, plan to get empty weight on the way out and loaded weight on the way back.

Besides with 8 years of trucking, 11 years in the Navy, 5 years in the Army jumping out of perfectly good aircraft and going through Special Forces Setection, 3 tours of combat in Afghanistan and Iraq totaling 2 years and a Bronze Star to boot there is nothing sane left of me ...and I get paid for it:Sly

Will do buddy, It'll be some nice change in my pocket when I part these 2. Definatly need to get together when we get back. Bringing back 2 tractors I bought and mabey a couple of snowblowers from my Dad to sell for him (why he moved them to Texas instead of selling them I'll never understand). The trailer turned out nice but I ran short of black paint when I discovered one of my old cans of rustoleum was hard so it's black in the middle and John Deere Green on the outside

I've seen those, there are not too many for duallys and those are not axactly cheap, hope some day I can but a set of those so mine can go faster too

Yea. I can do 132 also, at least that's what the calculator and seat of the pants tell me. Ain't gonna happen though. I don't have the military training needed to go that fast.

Thanks for the well wishes, made it down here saturday night about midnight. Trip down went great only casualty was a headlight bulb that burnt out about half way.

Fuel milage was about 16 at 70-75mph dragging the trailer with the AC on max on the first fill running early morning and 17.5 on the second fill when I slowed down to about 63 during the day so I wasn't fighting traffic.

Having a good time riding mini bikes and stuff, picking up tractors prolly tommorrow and been preppiing my brothers bike for paint on friday. PPG Indy green kandy over a pure gold base over black with a mint green gold pearl in the 1st coat of clear. Ought to pop pretty nice with a hint of flop to gold in the sun.
