So I got the e4od rebuilt last year (now out of warranty) and i have noticed that when i put it in reverse, it starts to tremble slightly. The last time I had an issue, they replaced the torque converter under warranty but what happened then was i put it in reverse and it shook and stalled out.

I have been told that it might be the transmission ecm but I am not getting any codes to the stalk and I do not want to go back to the trans shop (they did not do a good job on a second car I had and I am pissed with them)

So my question is would a bad ecm make the lockcause the truck to have issues in reverse without throughing a code? also, how do i program the ecm if i buy one or id it plug and play?

Thanks

Reverse is mechanical, so you wont get any codes. Because it is mechanical, you can rule out the TCM.

Have you checked the fluid level. To full or low will do funky stuff.

"Tremble" shakes while pushing the go pedal. If this is the case. your tranny is slipping in reverse. Low fluid pressure or low fluid can cause this.
