about a year ago i decided to remove my old nasty carpet from my 89 and replace it with the vinyl floor. I went with ACC as they seem to be the only ones around that had anything. It was supposed to be "pre molded" I didnt find anything "pre molded" about it when it arrived but i though id give it a shot. A year later i love the idea of the vinyl floor but i hate the ACC. Nothing sits flat. Its not "molded" to any corner of the cab at all.

So I am going to move my shifter hole once again and i would like to get something better fitting to replace what i have. I found a company a while back called Nifty but now i cant find anything for my pickup by them. So does anyone have any suggestion how i can get a vinyl floor that is actually molded and look factory. Thanks

I got the one from LMC and put it in recently. It is moulded pretty well but I think that thick vinyl is pretty hard to install perfectly. Heating it is essential if its cold. I tried to get it perfect for a while but eventually called it good enough. I also put down dynamat, foil faced jute and the sound deadener under it which made it seem like getting it perfect was going to be even less likely. I do think the moulding is decent though.

thought about that as well. I wanted to put a full layer of FatMat down (dynomat) for sound . Im worried about the lining not being very "sound denting" Do you have a pic of a ford done on the inside?

No pics but I have wondered about doing it myself. Maybe if it were laid on thick it would deaden the sound some. I don't think it would be as good as the FatMat though. I think it would look good though.

best thing to do is find the warmest room in your house and let the floor mat sit out for a few days. its really hard for them to get there shape back just taking them out of the box and letting it sit there for a few hours. if you have a fireplace, crank it up wide open for a few hours with the mat in the room close to the fireplace. will make a world of difference.

Use a heat gun on low to heat up the creases and mold it to the floor.. Thats how you get them to realy fit good, but nothing fits or looks as good as factory ford and that goes for carpet aswell..

i wonder about this stuff?

http://www.lizardskin.com/

I bought this stuff for my truck. I bought the sound deaden-er and the insulator products. I haven't installed it yet. a lot of people in the hot rod world swear by the stuff. I have a couple buddies that just installed it in there cars also, but haven't ridden in them yet to know if there is a difference.

U bet. Gimme a few days as I don't get over that direction very often, but I'll post it up when I get over that way.
