Anyone converted a Van to hydro boost? I dont mind the vac pump, but I would like to put an oil pump where the vac pump is.

If you have cruise, you need the vac pump. The hydro uses the power steering pump.

NO PSD's have electronic cruise. There El. vac pump is only for auto auto hub 4WD.

Went poking around RockAuto's offerings, and under E-450 with 6.0 PSD, they show a hydroboost master cylinder, Ford #4C2Z2140AA.
I might look into that myself, someday. Gotta say, I enjoy the hydroboost m/c on the 1997 Chevy Express I occasionally drive.

Electric cruise is easy to graft onto the older trucks, uses less wires and no vac, win win, I may do a write up on this if theres enough interest.
Biggest issue I see is if the van never had hydro as a factory option you may have to make you own lines,

Hmm. My cruise doesnt always work correctly. Say im going up a hill unloaded......the cruise will increase rpm but not enough to hold speed. If i put my foot into it i can hold the rpm.

Good Morning Ya'll.
Low or weak vacuum pump will cause that, or the vacuum (tomato can) reservoir is missing, that can is used only for cruise.
Cruise is supposed to kick out when the speed is 5 MPH below set speed, then kick down into the next gear.
