I have finally decided to send my old 86 that I pulled the engine out of, off to the scrap yard. The plan was to eventually put another motor in it but many circumstances have changed all that for now.

I have a set of rebuilt 7.3 heads that I paid 500 bucks to have done. What might those heads be worth?

I also have the early banks turbo kit off of it, no wastegate. what is that worth?

Many other parts here I can take a wild guess on but was unsure of the two above mentioned items.

I also have a newer Holley red mounted on it still that I need to pull off.

I also have a couple year old plastic/aluminum oreylies radiator that needs to go too.

I prefer some of this stuff to be picked up locally, as I'm still dealing with medical issues and a few other things. What doesn't go soon, is going to the recycling yard.
I will start posting some parts in the marketplace as soon as I can get someone out in the garage to pull stuff out for me.

thanks.

what happened to the other truck?
better yet...how about an update on how you're doing?

the other guys insurance company gave me 3,200 bucks for it. Or I could have given them 300 for it. I needed the money for my massive medical insurance deductible.
I really grew to love that damn truck but learned a big lesson, never sink 10 grand into a vehicle that isn't near worth that much!

I'm hanging in there but had to wait a month and a half for surgery on my neck, they removed a couple discs and put in spacers and screws. I'm still hurting pretty bad with the nerve damage that was done, my arms and hands are driving me nuts.
As far as the truck goes, it went to a place called Copart. The damage was estimated at 8,900 bucks on it.

One more thing I meant to mention is the 7.3 block with the broken head bolt still in it. It has 165,000 miles on it and was running great and using very little oil before the head gasket blew.
Is this block of any value to Somone, or should it just go to scrap?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
I happen to be looking for the oil filter end of the oil cooler. If you have one. I don't need the whole oil cooler.

Yep, got it. Going out of town tomorrow and will have to dig it all out next week.

So can someone tell me what these heads are worth? Like I said, they were rebuilt and never installed yet.

Just as a example there's a guy on craiglist local to me that has the 7.3 style heads not rebuilt for $200 a head.

I remember you had some Hypermax parts in the marketplace some time ago. If they are still available I would be interested. Sorry to hear about your accident. I was in an accident that totaled my "86 F 250 IDI five years ago. I needed one fusion of C5 and C6 as a result. Things will improve but it takes time. Meanwhile I am getting older, so will never be where I was prior to the accident.

I almost got them, but a guy in Phx gave away a late model 6.9 block, and 7.3 block for free; said he just needed the space they were taking up. Perhaps run those heads on Phx Craigslist; whoever got those blocks will probably need heads, and with you being in Vegas, it's not that far of a drive.

That's the same surgery I had, C5 andC6. I'll tell all you guys right now, most of these old trucks don't have head rests and that what screwed me up so bad. I will not ride in a vehicle now that doesn't have them.

Yes, I have a hypermax intercooler Kit, minus the inercooler. but I did however buy and air/water inercooler which I was going to adapt to the hypermax piping. I never had a chance to buy anything else from frozenboost regarding the air/water unit, all I have is the inercooler.

I would ask 500 for the heads. If I had a way to get them id do it, dont scrap the block just yet. Keep me posted. I need a set of heads.
