Used engine start up

This is the engine I bought last year for a truck I didnt have yet, 400 clams, Came out of a 93 f450 86k miles and was hit in the front.
I bled the heck out of the fuel lines, hooked up 1 new battery, and was totally amazed that it fired this easy, Im guessing all the glow plugs work, going to do valve cover gaskets, oil cooler seals , and drop it in NA. dont have time to do what I want to the uhaul engine before Ineed the dually to go camping thx giving,. What with the 4x4 needing clutch and trans.

These engines will fire off on one battery really easy. I found this out the hard way. As I usualy do I look under the hood when I start up most mornings. Well I had not done that in about 2 weeks when I decided to make a check... Found the srivers side positive battery clamp so loose it had jumped up and was not making enough contact to be adding anything to the cranking. Have no idea when that happened or how long but it was an odd find.

I was very shocked when it lit that easy. I will remove the glow plugs to make sure they are a good brand. Im going to seal up some wet spots and drop it in. I may hook water to it and run it for a while with an oil pressure gauge tapped in. I noticed the oil sender hole is 1/4 pipe? Maybe all the late blocks are?
