Upgrades for a stock 7.3 turbo?

Are there any upgrades for stock turbo off of a 95 F350 with a 7.3? I cannot afford an aftermarket turbo so I want to know what all I can do to this one. It is completely stock and in need of a rebuild anyway. Any ideas?

nothing really.gut the ebpv and swap the exhaust housing for the 1.0 housing.

What does swapping the housing do?

Pretty sure the 1.0 housing where on the vans. IIRC the 1.0 is a smaller housing so it should spool faster. I have a 96 turbo for sale. $175+ shipping. No shaft play either way.

That sounds familiar. What else was different about the van turbos?

Pretty sure it mounts differently but not sure. The one I have is a truck turbo.

What about a ball bearin conversion. I remember a little more than a few years ago there was a lot of talk about them. But now I cannot find anything about them as far as a kti for my turbo.

I already have two of those now. I reboult the one on my truck now a few years ago and have not put many miles on it at all. I have a second one from a doner truck so I thought it would be a good idea to modify that one.
