The link only takes me to a whole list of videos many are power stroke and gas motors. The first one on the list is a Idi and I still don’t hear any problem. The Video sounds like every other diesel I’ve ever heard. Have you pulled valve covers and checked rockers and valve guides? What does your exhaust sound like? What does it sound like under load? Checked timing? Have you heard other Idi motors running and idling? If so how is this one different?
This is like when my family members call me up and say my car was doing “X” what’s wrong? Can you fit it? How much will it cost? No clue. Is the answer to all questions. It may be time for a diesel mechanic to take a look at your truck.

At this point, I would recommend buying a mechanic's stethescope and trying to narrow it down to one small area.

I have the same noise in my. '89 and it may be the a lifter after much thought. Ill check mine and let you know

Harbor Freight sells the mechanic stethescope.
Could just be an Injector making the noise.
Have you loosened up each Injector line when it is running
to see if the noise goes away? If so then you will know it`s
that Injector. Maybe it has been said up above?
Amazing all the strange noises you will hear using it,
after hearing them, you will be afraid to start it again...
