A)The idle is too low on my 93. That nut on the idle adjuster looks pretty inaccessible. What's a guy to do?

I think there is a vacuum leak when I keep my foot on the brakes for a bit. THe two warning lights come and the pedal will be hard if try to push down on it right after releasing it. I've looked over the vacuum lines but could not find anything damaged. Anybody had this problem?

Hi Beau- First one's easy. Take a 10mm combination wrench you don't care about and bend the box end 90 degrees. This will let you get on the nut from the front, use vise grips on the wrench to get enough torque to loosen and tighten the nut.

I've heard of the vacuum switch on the cowl cracking, have you looked at it good? Could also be a bad booster.

beau55,

I replaced the low vacuum (LVS) switch on my son's '90, it had a bad diaphram and caused the light to come and bled off most of the vacuum......

Booster went out on mine a few years ago. Replaced it and everything has been working OK since.
