Find a truck with a turbo already on it for cheap. If you buy it cheap enough you'll be able to pull the turbo and resell the truck for nearly the same price you paid. You'll have basically a free turbo.

That's what I'm doing with the '86 F250 I have. I bought it with a Banks turbo on it for $1000. I'm pulling the turbo and The truck is nice enough that I should be able to sell it for $1000.

Fleebay has then from time to time as well. Scout out local junkyards for older IDI's as well

You could probably make it work ;Sweet. But it is going to take some horsepower to turn that thing to make boost, more so than a turbo. So in the long run, I believe that you will see less horsepower than you would from a turbo. Plus you might not see much boost until higher rpm's :dunno

I'd try the sc if you can get it cheap. Who knows, it might work good. Probably have to find the correct pulley to make the boost lower for the diesel. Yeah it will take more power to turn than a turbo but you never know until you try.
