Turbo removal = PITA! Help!

Taking the turbo off the 96 and man it's been a pita! I like the left rear pedestal bolt, and the two uppipe bolts on the bottom of turbo. Anyone have any tips on how to get them off? My guess is unbolt from manifolds and bring all of the up pipes out in one piece? Now back the left rear pedestal bolt. Tried 10mm wrenches, 10mm sockets with a universal and 6" extension. Not sure what to do. Worked on it from about 7:30pm to 11:30pm. Any advice and tips needed! Thanks!

unbolt the collector flange from the turbo.once that is unbolted you should be able to push it toward the firewall enough to get the rear pedistal bolts.

What's the collector flange?

the 4 bolt flange that the up pipes go into on the back of the turbo,the uppipe donuts are in there as well.replace them while you have it apart

for the rear pedistal bolts use a 1/4" ratchet,extension and swivel.3/8 drive stuff is a little too big to get in there.i use wrenches on mine,have one i cut in half just for this job

I can't get to the lower 2 nuts on the colector flange

i use a 15mm wrench cut in half for thosei havent tried it but you might be able to get a 15mm swivel socket on them

try going under the pedistal and remove the 4 10mm bolts that attach the turbo to it.then wiggle the turbo to see if the donuts are loose on the up pipes.if its loose you wiggle it up of the pipes.but i believe if you go up from underneath with a long extentension and 10mm socket you can looosen/remove the 4 bolts for the up pipe donut flanges.
