now yall got me worried, i just swaped in a SMF into my factory turboed 94 and never knew there was a difference. truck has no funny vibrations...

My '86 with the 6.9 ZF5 has a dmf and clutch from a 7.3 that the previous owner put in. It runs fine. No vibrations. When I temporarily swapped in a 6.9 in place of the 7.3 in the '91, I just bolted up the dmf & clutch. No problems. Then again, I rarely take my IDIs over 2500 rpm.
