Hello, my buddie has a 99 dodge with a banks powerpack on it he has 99,800 miles on it and he is just starting to have problems. He said its shifting between 4 gear(the gear before od ??) and overdrive. He was interested in either having the trannsmision rebuilt or getting a new one. Whats the best of the best for Dodges? How much do they cost? Where are they located

There are other options like ATS, and Suncoast. I know little about them, perhaps someone else can help.

A war is not going to happen here. If you want that, take it to the battleground and hash it out there.

Sounds like 'Busa is lookin' for some leads, and that is exactly what he's going to get.

I know you're just funnin', Breaks, so don't take this personal, 'cause it ain't about you. I made a similar comment.

I want to take this opportunity to point out that wars like we've seen elsewhere won't be tolerated here. The other sites do not accomodate a "Battlegrounds" section where we can speak as we wish. We do. If you want to flame, take it there, and be prepared for the heat to singe you, too.

It's probably just the TCC locking and un-loncking.

Pull the APPS/TPS wires out of the wire loom, and make sure the battery terminals are clean.

Change the fluid and filter in the trans if he hasn't rescently.

The Trans in his truck is a 4spd.
Trucks shifts in this manner. 1st,2nd,3rd,3rd+Lockup,4th(locked).

What you are feeling is probably teh TCC un-locking in 4th gear whil ehe is cruising.

What do the RPM's do? Do they rise and fall 25-100 or 250-500+?

My opinion? I like DTT.

Why spend $4K+ on a trans, when it might be a $39 harness?
