transfer cases

will the case and adapter housing off the back of the AOD in my 86 f150 bolt to the back of a T18 directly or will i need to find the T18 adapter housing?

The transfer case should physically bolts up. u may need either a manual shift rod or another one (Ford was weird with how they went about the shift rods, goes from the shifter to the side of the transfer case). Its stamped on it what it will fit. If i can find what im talking about ill get some pics.

Its a manual case now...not sure if its a 208 or 1356 though. The adapter housing is missing on the t18 i got

the case adapter will only fit the trans it is on, due to it being the output shaft housing. you will have to find the output shaft housing for the transmission, but other then that, most all ford transfer cases are interchangeable

i got an adapter on the extra T-19 and NP-435 sitting in my garage. let me know if you need one, i dont need them for my Jeep.

does it have the trapezoid bolt pattern on the back of the trans? if so then yea i will be needing one ;)
