My 92 ford 7.3 tranny wont shift into overdrive its like 2600rpm to go 60 mph down the freeway. I think I have the e-40-d tranny, any ideas what might be the problem I took it to my tranny guy and he hooked it up to the de-coder and he said it didnt show any bad codes from there he didnt have any ideas.
things i did try to fix
I found a broken wire to the o-d switch on shifter fixed it.
changed the fuel filter and fresh fluid
and I unhooked the battery overnight thinking to maybe reset codes or something.
Any thoughts would be appricated. thanx
